Many of you have asked why chronic fatigue in endometriosis. Well, one of the most obvious reasons is that the immune system senses that something is wrong, it looks for the source of inflammation and problems, but because endometriosis cells are deceptively similar to normal endometrial tissue, it cannot find and eliminate it. Instead, it spins from zero to twenty-four, constantly on standby, never resting.
One of the consequences is the frequent chronic feeling of fatigue, easy exhaustion, but there are also many other effects, such as the fact that a woman with endometriosis is more likely to catch any infection, is more exposed to infectious diseases and finds it harder to get pregnant, because the sample of abdominal fluid contains a much higher number of NK cells (natural killer cells), making it easier for them to attack and destroy a fertilised egg that is half-genital because of the paternal chromosome and therefore mistakenly thought to be harmful.
What to do in this situation:
- Support your immune system! Eat plenty of vegetables, fruits and sprouts, preferably raw!
- Avoid stress! (Haha. Okay. Actually: learn effective stress management techniques. We teach you relaxation, yoga, autogenic training, meditation, positive visualization techniques and self-suggestion. www.endoblog.hu)
- Get enough sleep! If you're having trouble falling asleep, see our previous articles for help or visit our practice!
- Walk, move outdoors, in the fresh air!
- Enjoy the sunshine! (With proper sun protection)
- Replenish your magnesium and start a vitamin B6 regimen!
- Take care of yourself, love your body and yourself with it!
- Love others too: hug your loved ones often, snuggle up to your partner. The love hormones released when you touch someone can have many benefits, including boosting your immune system!
- Get moving, exercise regularly, including cardio and soft, female-type, mindfulness exercises.
Cheers!
