Hello!
As promised, today's Monday Motivator will focus on nutrition. Thanks to the letters we've received, I've put together a little mini-review of where we stand on this issue.
In slightly more than half of the letters (56%), you wrote about the importance you attach to a healthy diet, hoping that it would be curative or at least reduce endometriosis symptoms. Most of these 56% do not follow a specific diet, but simply pay attention to what is on the table, where and what they buy. Almost ALL of you are trying to eliminate milk and dairy products from your diet. Fifteen per cent of the 56% follow a strict diet, 8% a macrobiotic diet, 5% a paleolithic diet and 1% a raw diet. The rest have tried to experiment on their own with their diets, following their body's cues, drawing from a variety of sources and incorporating only those principles that are acceptable to them.
The remaining 44% do not follow a specific diet for two reasons, 18% do not believe that endometriosis can be cured by diet, 24% have tried one or more of the approaches but have not improved and have given up, and 2% have never heard of an endometriosis diet but may be researching the subject.
I wish you all a nice week full of healthy dishes:-)
